It’s less than three weeks until CHS Birmingham kicks off at the ICC Birmingham. We want to make sure you get the most out of your time at the Show and so in part one of two blogs – here are our top tips to make the most of your day on 1 November!
1. Decide what you want to get out of the event
There will be so much to see and do at CHS Birmingham. To get some focus and clarity, decide beforehand what you want to get out of attending. Is your main goal to fill your little black book with the unique venues & supplier exhibiting? Is it to network with other event professionals & PA’s? Or are there connections of yours attending that you want to catch up with?
Make a point to decide what’s bringing you to CHS Birmingham before you step through those doors on show day (even if you have a few reasons on the list). It will give you more clarity when there’s so much going on around you.
2. Decide who you want to meet and book your appointments
We post our full list of exhibitors on our website so you can browse through them ahead of show day. Have a look beforehand to see who you want to meet, based on your event & meeting needs.
All hosted buyers have a personalised appointment diary, so make sure you login and select your appointments to meet with venues, hotels and suppliers that you would like to meet with.
A personalised schedule will be available in our handy app which will be launched before you arrive at the Show.
3. Post on social media that you will be attending
Mention to everyone on LinkedIn & Twitter that you will be attending CHS Birmingham 2022 and encourage your followers and connections to reach out to you if they are as well. It’s a great opportunity to catch up with your old and new connections and maintain those relationships.
You should also tweet or post on LinkedIn during the day of the show to keep your audience updated on what you’re doing – and don’t forget to use the hashtag #CHSRocks!
4. Pick out which speaker sessions you want to attend ahead of time
We have a full educational programme taking place throughout the day at CHS Birmingham featuring a lineup of amazing speakers. With a mixture of practical sessions from life coaches and salary surveys to personal branding and constructing your own personalised career, we’re looking to support event professionals on their journey to become the best possible version of themselves!

5. Have a blast at our evening networking events
As well as a day of education, inspiration and networking, make time to attend our amazing evening events.
On Monday 31 October all Hosted Buyers and exhibitors are invited to step back in time to 1920s Black Country at the CHS Birmingham Welcome Reception.
Our Platinum Welcome Reception Partner Birmingham Conference and Events Centre will be pulling out all the stops at this immersive event, expect theatrics, a large-scale pub, themed food and drink, props and plenty of photo and selfie opps!
Don’t forget to join us at our After-Show Party at the end of the show. Join us for a complimentary glass of wine, beer or soft drink and celebrate all that we have to look forward to us an industry in 2023!
