Joanne Barratt is Managing Director of The Venues Collection and Lime Venue Portfolio (both divisions of Compass Group UK and Ireland)
Joanne is an established hospitality professional and business leader with a proven track record of delivering financial and organisational goals coupled with strong and influential leadership skills. She has an engaging leadership style, and is focused on delivering results through developing and mentoring people at all levels of the organisation. Joanne is passionate about building teams for the future, and encouraging and nurturing talent to ensure that the industry continually grows – she says that one of her greatest achievements is seeing the people who have worked with her achieving their career goals and dreams.
Joanne has over 25 years of experience of the hotel and venue sector and is a passionate advocate for:

Joanne is the leader for the ‘People Pledge’ part of the Group’s Future First Charter which is a framework to deliver and shape the Group’s social purpose initiatives and targets. In this role, Joanne is championing diversity and inclusion, apprenticeships and mental health awareness through their venues.
Joanne is also a Compass Group ‘Women in Food’ ambassador and helps to promote hospitality careers and bring more women into the industry. Joanne became a hotel GM at the age of 26, and has been part of a team that has won many industry awards, including M&IT’s Best Group Meeting Product, the BDRC Best Group Award and the M&IT Team of the Year award in 2021.
Joanne lives in Hertfordshire with her husband, their two teenage children and their cockapoo dog. At weekends you will find her in her garden or doing bootcamp sessions.
